Pastoral Care and Counselling is a unique ministry of the Body of Christ. This work of the ministry has been called Cura Animarum, the care of the soul. To be called to care for the soul of the people of God is a high calling for it opens to the dedicated and consecrated worker unparalleled opportunities for personal intimate ministry and dialogue.

It offers to the trained practitioner a doorway to minister through Christ's love and compassion to the inner life of the person. It seeks to address the inner wellspring of personal decision making the wisdom, prudence and love. It means to shepherd the inner life of people through the crisis of emotional conflict and interpersonal pain, toward growth in responsiveness toward God and interpersonal relationships.
